Understanding D.I.D.

Discovering you're dissociated

Discovering you are dissocited shouldn't bring fear, but relief.

The discovery that you have dissociated parts should give you a better understanding about your life.

...Why you feel one way one minute, then suddenly a different way.

...Why it seems you have voices or conversations going on inside of you--and sometimes, it seems they never stop.

...Why you have very few childhood memories or periods of time are missing in your memories.

...For some, it will bring an understanding of why you've had a lot of ministry but feel you haven't progressed as much as you should have.

Sometimes someone will say, "I don't think I'm dissociated because I don't have any memories of overwhelming or traumatic things that happened to me." Precisely! That's what dissociation does.
